Cockroaches! My girlfriend and I rented a room and, upon entry, cockroaches on the walls, in the bathroom, on the bed. Cockroaches everywhere! Other than that, it is merely a rundown older facility in a sketchy area where I did not feel very safe even with my two 75-pound dogs. Even though they moved us to a different room 4 doors away, all night long we left on the lights and had dreams about cockroaches. Got up at 4 a.m. and left, hopefully not taking any along in our bags to become residents back home.

The whole room was a little sticky and gross, which is to be expected but the door to our room looked like someone broke into it once because the lock was broken and there was a half inch gap in the door. The whole room smelled like cigarette smoke, the fire alarm was detached and not worked and we found a drug scale. All in all would probably stay again if I had to.

Well, I stayed for 7 full days. Once I entered, the room, it smelled like cigarettes. At the end of my 7 days, all my clothes smelled like cigarettes. No house keeper ever came, until I asked. When I first walked into the room; besides noticing the cigarette smell, I also noticed ROACH traps in every corner, including the bathroom. And yes, the uninvited guess did show up. It was disgusting. The toilet kept getting clogged. The front desk could not find a plunger. I could not use the toilet for a good 24hrs.

I liked that it wasn’t too far from my destination. I didn’t like that anything wrong with the room wasn’t taken care of and brushed off even after I had to change rooms due to issues with the first one. At one point I even inquired about the owner and was going to call the general manager because it was just too much!
