The staff at the Cartwright always impress. Very friendly and efficient. Great location. comfortable room. I recommend breakfast at the nearby Sears. Get the Al's Special. If you enjoy a bloody mary or 3 this is the place to order one (or 3).

Small, clean, well-lighted place. No valet. Close to Union Square.

The hotel is old, you can hear other rooms flushing or closing doors. Outside noise can easily be heard in your room. You get what you pay for, cheap hotel, cheap quality. The biggest advantage is the location. Close to everything you need from food or transportation. Staff are also helpful.
