We are a family of three plus our golden retriever. Our daughter is 9. We selected Hampton Inn and suites because it had good reviews and they claimed they were pet freindly. We arrived after a 9 hour drive and the young man working the desk was rude and had no real clue about anything. He acted like he didnt know where the bathroom was. He didnt tell us how to get to our room, where the dog area was to go to the bathroom, but was sure to tell us that our dog was not allowed in certain areas and that there would be fees if our dog damaged any areas. The facility was under restoration which would of been nice to know. The first night we got a call saying we were being to loud. We were on the third floor with a nine year old and a 3 year old golden retriever. Not one of the faculty even addressed our dog, to me pet freindly means exactly that. Be welcoming of dogs, make there owners feel they are welcome. We did not feel she was welcome. The second day the young lady working the front was much nicer. Over all was a okay place to stay but if you have a dog you might look around.

The staff and building conditions even under construction are phenomenal but the area was a little sketch. I’d stay again I felt very safe and entire staff was excellent. Thank you for a great weekend

At 1:40 am in the morning the smoke detector in the room started beeping every few minutes. When I called the front desk, I was told that he was just supposed to watch the desk and check people in. I asked him what he was doing to correct the problem and was told he didn't know what to do or who to call. There was trash piled up in the parking lot; though they just went through a storm other motels in the area did not have trash piled up.
