Disappointed.
No A/C in rooms. No ice machine. No microwave. No mini fridge. No breakfast the next morning. Office was still closed by 8 am when we left. We will never stay here again. Not worth the stay, even if it's an emergency and you have no place to go. You're better off camping! Got ate up by mosquitos all night within the room! And we were on our Honeymoon.

All of the area was evacuated due to a wildfire before our stay and we were not informed, still had the listing up and we paid for a room we never got to stay in and didn’t get a refund for. the area has zero cell service and is at least an hour from non-spotty service or a gas station. other than that the property looked just a little run down.

Please please clean up the dead bugs in the bathroom, under the bed, and by the window sill. This place would have been lovely to stay at if it weren’t for the dead and still alive bugs everywhere.

The hotel management did not contact us when they are closing down due to the forest fire in the area. We showed up at the hotel and saw a notice on the door. We called the hotel and one of personnel said they will refund the money then hung up on us. We unable to connect again and have to scramble that evening to find a place to stay, but nothing is available at least 30 miles out; so we are ending sleep in the van in one of the hotel parking lot approx. 25 miles away from Lava Mountain Lodge hotel. It is unprofessional as part of hotel management run the business. Never want to come back again.

Nice place in a beautiful area. Staff was very friendly. Had an excellent burger at the restaurant. Could use a little care, several light bulbs in the room flickered or were out. It was a bit far from GTNP, longer drive than I thought it would be but it worked out okay.
