I came to Topeka to visit with my dearest friends. I picked this hotel due to its location. I had never been here before. It is across the main street from a huge Walmart. There are so many restaurants and small and large businesses around. Plenty of parking. The hotel itself is clean and well run. There is an indoor pool and great internet. The staff is wonderful, friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this hotel as the rates are very good also. So very happy I chose this hotel!

The hotel was a bit run down, but it was comfortable. The lady at the front desk was so very sweet! She learned my name and addressed me as such the entire stay.
Not the best area. It gave me a decent place to stay for the night.

This room was filthy!! There was something sticky sprayed all over the TV, desk, and mirror. Moved the end table to plug in our phones and found what looked like dried vomit! I was told that the whole place was non-smoking yet I found cigarette ash on the head board & the sheets wreaked of stale smoke.

Having to have staff come up and restart tv remote twice. Then in new room had a spider appear in the sink, then the side door had no lock mechnicism, made 1 feel unsafe. This i'm afraid is not a place i'll be returning too next year, also has 1 with a physical condition, i'm limited to non weight bearing on q leg, yet no elevator access. Lastly, i see a bar that I thought would have a breakfast, to which there wasn't. All i was given is a sack we ith a nutrition bar, apple, and chocolate chip mini muffins. Sorry, but being type 1 diabetic, that is not worth my energy level, along with insulin, causing me to ho low. So get this place ship

Hotels.com showed this "hotel"having vacancies so we booked a room. Upon arrival, the manager (?) informed us that there were no vacancies. After a phone call to Hotels.com regarding THEIR error, we were informed our room payment (for a room that didn't exist) would take 7 - 10 business days.
The "hotel" lobby was dirty, food containers with partially eaten food, belonging to staff was spread on the counter at check-in, there were bugs on the floor, cigarette butts were scattered all over the outside front entrance and the lobby smelled of stale cigarette smoke. If we had seen this before trying to book a foom, we never would have considered staying here. This facility needs some serious attention from corporate.
