There was a snowstorm in Carlisle that canceled my event. Couldn't reach the hotel and when I did they couldn't refund my money (but they did for others with reservations).

Over all everything was okay.

There was a half empty coke bottle left in the fridge. Crumbs on the couch. Lamp shade askew. The room just didn't feel clean.

One night stay on Jan 1st. Disappointed the restaurant was not open. It was one reason we selected this place. We are not big celebrators or we would have remembered to check.
Otherwise delighted. Even our dog found it comfortable.

The hotel location was perfect for us. The bar had a great pub vibe. I was unable to give a perfect review for this reason…our first night while enjoying the bar I left my beautiful Afghan pashmina behind on the bar stool. When I inquired at the front desk the next morning another guest heard me and said she saw it on the stool for a while. Front desk said come back when the restaurant manager is in. I called later and spoke to the bartender who was the same from night before. She and another server claimed they knew the scarf I was talking about and they thought someone must have stolen it but they would investigate. Confused, I went to the bar to speak to the restaurant manager. She dismissed me. When I asked if they had they had video footage (I was already told they did) she said “no”. I demmeded answers and she said “i don’t do that you will have to speak to the hotel manager. They all knew how upset I was and after 9 pm there was a knock on my door. The bartender and restaurant manager brought my scarf to my room saying they tracked it down.
I will certainly not make accusations about where my scarf was but can say without question the restaurant manager was unkind, uncompassionate and unhelpful until she realized how offended I was at being dismissed by her.
I take responsibility for forgetting my scarf but someone who works in customer service in a management role must show leadership to those for working for her and this was not a good example.
