The room has a very comfortable bed and a fine shower and the room was clean. Faucets and hardware worked well. Decent value for the price. I’d stay here again.

I love the premise of the hotel - it's affiliation with Julia Morgan, the architect for Hearst Castle. The entire hotel has her architectural renderings artfully framed and displayed. The location in San Simeon is perfect for visits to the elephant seals, Friends of the Elephant Seal Visitor Center, and for viewing and walking along the ocean. The room I had with a couch and fireplace was just so serene. It had all the amenities I needed, and provided a lovely respite upon return from my daily activities.

Terrible street signage in San Simeon blew past where The Morgan is and was 15-20 miles North. No one answered the phone so I figured I would have to stay at Motel 6. Lady answered after her lunch and I got to stay in a terrific suite with incomparable view of ocean when NOT FOGGY! and a gas fireplace. The bed was not comfortable nor the chair.

the room was quiet and comfortable. Awesome shower. The staff was courteous.
The hotel offers breakfast but the options are limited if you are on a no-carb diet. Coffee was average...nothing to write home about.

Hello - we had our dog with us for a Thanksgiving getaway to Hearst Castle - the hotel was a welcoming, convenient and even festive environment right next to the ocean. It is by no means a "fancy" or resort-like experience, but it was convenient, comfortable and friendly. We will likely return with our dog in the future!

Flies constantly in the bathroom. Fireplace did NOT work. Bathroom heater did NOT work.
No desk & lamp for my laptop. No grab bar for the spa/tub. Owner should realize its NOT easy for an older person to get in & out of a spa/tub. There should also be a grab bar when using the shower.
POOR. Will NOT recommend to friends.
