We needed a room near Houston Methodist Hospital and this worked well for us. I also had my Chihuahua with me so I was glad it was pet friendly. It was nice and clean.

Nice hotel very convenient to NRG.
The hotel reminded me of Vegas. The rooms are clean and breakfast was good.
Very convenient to NRG.

My stay at this hotel was disappointing. The parking situation was terrible—we had to pay for parking, yet it seemed like they were charging others without ensuring enough spots for actual guests. It was a constant struggle to find parking, which was extremely frustrating.
Additionally, my room was not cleaned for two days, and I had to repeatedly ask for extra towels. The lack of basic housekeeping services made the stay even more frustrating.
Overall, I expected much better service, and I wouldn’t stay here again unless these issues were addressed.

Check in charged double for my room. Tried telling him pretty much called me a liar. Very rude about parking. Bath tub drained very slowly. No hot water mostly Luke warm.

Best part was that it was across the street from the NRG stadium other than that everything else. Was subpar. Elevators were sketchy, a few lights in the room didn’t work. And had to pay to park ?

The hotel itself was good for being an older hotel. Had good service and a complimentary breakfast. Clean room. Two negatives - Had to pay $30 a night to park on their property and there was hardly any water pressure coming out of the shower head. I stayed there because I was attending an event at NRG Stadium. It was walking distance.

We stayed for the Houston Livestock show from Tuesday through Monday, in that time we received housekeeping services exactly once and that was when I went to the front desk and all but demanded we have clean towels, sheets, trash removed, etc. DoorDash was refused entry to our hotel (it is in the back of another hotel), we were told it would be an additional $100 per night if we added another car park while we stayed- was a lie, it would have been $30, but we didn't find that out until it was too late. The facilities are very outdated and not well maintained-doorknobs coming apart, locks not securing, outside doors for entry not attached to security locks, etc. It was a mess and we won't be staying there again unless it's an emergency.

We have very mixed review. I actually thought i had booked at Wyndam so a bit surprised to be at Wingate, probably my fault. Front desk was friendly and helpful, good first impression. Inside of room was good but missing refrigerator and blow dryer didnt work. Housekeeping brought new one.
That’s where my positive comments end. The rest of the hotel is tired at best and falling apart in most places. Exterior doors do not lock, safety concern. Elevators small and interior damaged. At first we weren’t sure they would work. Many, many, many places were previous repairs were done and patched leaving holes. Lobby restroom handicap stall door would not close properly. Honestly, for the price charged it was a rip-off. We did have secure parking at $30/night which was good. We were exhibitors at the livestock show so location was very convenient but you raise your prices for the Rodeo season but don’t provide a very good product. We generally stay at a Garden Inn or Holiday Inn Express and I booked your hotel because of location. Didn’t mind paying a bit more but extremely disappointed and will not stay here again.

It’s ridiculous how much you have to pay to park when you’ve already paid too much to stay there.
