Hi! I recently had an awful experience. When arriving it took 30-40 minutes for our hotel Marriott staff to check us in. Marriott Hotel Receptionist couldn’t find our reservation, and denied our stay twice. I asked several times for her to check again since I had pre paid for the hotel 3 1/2 weeks prior to checking in/upon booking. I also had the confirmation info, receipt, proof showing I booked and was previously charged. After 30-40 minutes of asking several times for her to try looking us up through my confirmation info/receipt she finally agreed as I asked previously if she could reach out to another Marriott and ask for guidance/help since it seemed like she was untrained or new, so close to an hour which I was pretty tired from traveling/driving, she finally found us but I mean it caused anxiety and unnecessary stress on my end since I’m the paying guest. Anyhow, the carpet floor had about three previous stains between the tv & bed. The room kind of had an odor-y scent but luckily I brought colorox and air freshener spray. Upon checking out the same employee who couldn’t find my check in double charged me on Sunday over $570- which was another headache, great anxiety, and unnecessary stress. We had to call the corporate center for Marriott so they’ll touch base with me this week to follow up. I also called the Pet Resort booking site number 3x for assistance to resolve this matter among the Marriott employee and everything but after an hour of waiting on hold, I hung up. So I’ll try again tomorrow.
