My hotel reeked of cigarettes not to mention the 200$ fee they will put on my card if they thought i smoked! The shower leaked through the wall of the room! And the stains on my blankets and floor and the crusty brown microwave

Spout on bath falling out of the wall. Cold air coming in around door and heater took half the night to warm up the room. To top it off the fire alarm started going off at 3am

I gave this hotel an overall rating of one star. Not because I stayed there and was not satisfied with the room, but because the hotel refused to let us stay there. I booked it through hotels.com and after a long day at the hospital with a sick loved one I was told I couldn’t stay there because I didn’t live 60 or more miles from the hotel. I live 57 miles away. We were informed this by a very unapologetic young man that examined my ID for several minutes and then told us we couldn’t stay there.
We left and had to find another hotel late that night. I assumed that I wouldn’t be charged since I had not paid for the room, but instead we were charged. I called the number from the email, which turned out to be Red Roof Inn. The lady that answered told me I would have to contact hotels.com even though red roof inn had charged me. After searching for a number for hotels.com, which evidently doesn’t exist, I found a chat box and was able to speak to someone and supposedly am supposed to get a refund. I hope I do get the refund but overall I’m very disappointed with red roof inn and hotels.com. What kind of hotel refuses to let someone stay because they don’t live far enough away. We were only told that this was their policy and no other reason or excuse was given. I’m very disappointed in the policy and the lack of human compassion. This hotel is close to a hospital and obviously we can’t depend on the red roof in so we can stay close to a loved one.

The lady at the front desk was very friendly, beds were comfortable and the breakfast was pretty good. The building is older but the room was clean and mostly updated.

Check is very strict no room for being early. The pool was closed when i was there and I was looking forward to it :(
