Check in was very quick and the attendants were very friendly. We came from Hickory because we are without power water and internet. We would have stayed again but they are booked so we had to go elsewhere as my husband needs internet for work. I’ll be driving to Morganton which is a crap show with. I water but it’s nice to have a place to go and have working utilities since it may be 2 weeks until we have ours restored.

We often stay at Holiday Inn Express locations and rarely have a bad experience. This was by far the worst we’ve stayed at. We arrived around midnight and there was a gentleman passed out on the front bench who wouldn’t wake with voice prompts. We were concerned and mentioned it twice as we checked in. No response or care for this experience was expressed by staff.
Room was clearly not unkept (missing entire portion of headboard, rotting bathroom door, ERR on thermostat). Checked on pool, and through the cracked glass door, saw it covered. Rough experience overall.
