The hotel is a classic. The food was good in the cafe. Bed very comfortable.
Haunting Beautiful
We had an extra day in Austin and decided to stay at americas most haunted hotel. Not sure if we saw a ‘ghost’ on the veranda, but it was a fun experience. We had fun exploring the lore and the art work in the halls. The staff was awesome. The bartender helped guide us to the next destination and gave us recommendations for some speakeasy’s in town. The room was immaculate and clean. Would recommend to people visiting. Even the breakfast place downstairs (called 1886) was delicious.
Perfectly Situated Hotel for the Austin Half Marathon.
Austin Half Marathon. The Driskill is perfectly situated for the event. Check in was easy and the front desk was very helpful with our room request. The decor has Old World charm and the bed, sheets, pillows and towels were all first class.

Beautiful historic hotel. This is Texas history. Quite an art collection. Quite well maintained.

Everything from the service to aesthetic was purely incredible. We left thinking “you know, this is how people should be treated” because the staff was just so lovely. 10/10 for service and personality all around.

We have stayed at this hotel at least 3 times and have always been pleased with our choice. It’s an older hotel so the elevator can be slow and rooms really differ in size but the staff are friendly and it’s a great location
