Good Afternoon, I recently stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Lumberton, NC. I will get right to the points, on my first night, I had to kill a roach crawling on the wall by the bed. I also went to the front desk to quite more towels and key, this was around about 11pm, I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to even appear at the front desk. Then in night number 2, I had ti kill two more roaches. When i called the front desk to ask for another room or big spray, the lady replied that they were full and they do not have any big spray and hung up on me. So I did not get much sleep the rest of the night as I was in the lookout for bugs and I had to wake up early the next day to drive home. Just overall a terrible stay and I will never stay there again. I did not pay to stay somewhere I could not even sleep and had to be an exterminator. Would never want to experience this again. I was previously a frequent member with Marriott.

I booked a king bed. When i arrived after driving for 8 hours with 2 toddlers, the front desk woman checked me in and gave me the keys. Upon entry to my room, saw that it was 2 queen beds. My children sleep with me so these beds would be too small. I went to front desk to ask for the room I reserved. Was now told they dont have it because they oversold. I asked for my money back so I could go elsewhere, explaining that i only booked this hotel because i needed the king bed. She said I can't get any money back because I booked through 3rd party. She advised me to call manager in the morning. I called hotel for next 2 days, was told no manager was available. I called orbitz customer service who called the hotel. The hotel told orbitz and I that they won't give any partial refund because i checked in to the room. I feel this is an unfair business practice because i was not told at checkin that my room wasn't available or else i would never have checked in to begin with.
