Great location if you stay within a two block radius. Staff was exceptional.

The staff at Hampton Downtown Winston Salem is amazing! I wish I could remember all their names but staff on duty on January 31 about noon went overboard to help my husband get settled in after a procedure at Atrium Health care that day. Can't say enough about all of them from the office mgr. to two at the front desk and the valet parker that day. We've stayed there several times and they are the best!

Great staff. Friendly and helpful. Only problem is when we called for a reservation,they didn't mention that it was valet only forc22.50 and that parking is the use of public parking down the street.

I had a nonrefundable CONFIRMED reservation for a suite with two king beds. My reservation was already paid for. We get there and because I had made previous reservations and cancelled them they made a big deal about those reservations which was not necessary. Those were cancelled within the cancellation dates. That had nothing to do with my CONFIRMED NON REFUNDABLE RESERVATION! Also they kept saying I made them through some service which I used the number on the web site for the Cherry Street location which I assumed was the number for Hampton Inn. I tried hard to locate a number for the Cherry Street location and there was none available so I used the number on the Cherry Street location web site. They gave me a lot of grief about that for some reason. Anyway I did not get my suite. They gave me two suites with one king bed each. The suites were beside each other but my party had planned to be together the entire time. I just can't figure out how my CONFIRMED NON REFUNDABLE RESERVATION got screwed up! Other than that the hotel was very nice. I felt bad they there was no hot water one morning. The breakfast could have been a lot better and had more choices.

Very nice hotel. Clean, updated, great staff in all areas. Very professional and pleasant. Went the extra mile.

Super Clean

Room was fresh in appearance, clean and the beds/pillows were comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The staff was great. The only downside is having to pay for vallet parking or parking at a distance with cost also.
