We enjoyed the most lovely sunset here with the sweetest family llamas- Porter & Stout, who we also got to hand feed! Hubby and I rented the presidential suite for a quiet evening away from the kids, and we left feeling SO refreshed. But, now we’re booking our return WITH the kids in the Paul Bunyan cabin which they will absolutely love! I can’t recommend this retreat enough. The family history of the property is so fascinating, and early May was a perfect time of the year to enjoy some Spring sunshine without bugs. Thanks for having us!

Our stay was fantastic. Exactly what my husband and I were looking for: quiet getaway in the country to focus on eachother without dailylife distractions. Our favorite part was that the place is run completely by family. Its a team effort there and all homemade food. The bed was super comfy and everything was very clean. We played the disc golf course for some fun and a great way to see the property while getting a little exercise. The stars and bonfire at night were highlights. There is great dining supper club style nearby too. We plan to return with our kids for the frisbee golf course. Highly reccomend!

What a great place to visit and stay! We booked the Presidential suite which was part of the old farmhouse. Very comfortable and clean. Donna made sure we started each day with fresh coffee and a wonderful breakfast. There are two very friendly llamas on the property which kids would love and many hiking trails and Frisbee Golf. There are many lodging options on the property. Only negative we had was wi-fi and cell service. wi-fi was spotty and I doubt strong enough for streaming. We got zero cell phone signal on the property, so keep that in mind if you have to stay connected for some reason.

We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to another cabin. It was pristinely clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was amazingly delicious. We had a very relaxing stay and Donna gave us excellent suggestions on what to do in the area.

The B&B itself is nice/unique. Plenty of hiking trails and disc golf course. It’s also close to bike trails, and the breakfast was good. I was pretty turned off by the owners. The pictures showed a fireplace in our room. Turns out it is electric. When the daughter was giving us the tour she couldn’t figure out how to work the electric fireplace, so she handed me the remote and said, “I don’t know. You’ll have to figure it out.” That shouldn’t be my job. The next morning my daughter and I went for breakfast. The food was good and we were the only people there, so it was quiet. After, I was making simple small-talk with the owner and she started complaining to me that since I had made the reservation through “Expedia” (we made the reservation through Hotels.com) that she wouldn’t get paid for a few days and they would take 30%. It was a very strange interaction. I shrugged it off and went on a walk with my daughter. We stopped to look at one of the other cabins as we were the only people there. The owners daughter also said that they don’t lock the doors and take a look around the barn and such. It was a cute little cabin and I thought maybe we would like to come back and reserve that one. The owner stopped in and I said, “We were just having a look around. We might want to come back for biking in the summer.” She said, “Well, I guess you own the place.” I told her I didn’t really understand that comment and to have a nice day. She just shrugged. Very strange...
