Hotel needs updated but very clean. Evening staff was terrible. Three guests waited nearly 20 minutes for someone to check us in. Morning staff however was very nice. Walk to Kohls and Huntington Mall. 20 minutes to Marshall University.

Bathroom had holes in paint. Mildew in the bathtub area and the floor was sticky. The carpet in the room was dirty but otherwise the room was clean. The breakfast dining area needs a furniture replacement badly. The hotel is using cheep chair covers to cover up ripped and damaged worn chairs. Nothing is really wrong with this but they are also rather dirty and could use being washed or replaced.

When we checked in, we noticed that there was an fragrence in the room. Found out later that it was a Febreeze plug in, of which I was highly allergic to. Also, the drawers in the room would not stay closed. I finally took hangers from the closet to keep them secure. They had tried to secure them with Velcro, but that didn’t work. Also, there was no toilet paper hanger in the bathroom, which I have never seen. The plug in was the worse, as I am still suffering from.
