Not for me. I had a completely different expectation. Couldn't wait to leave.
I'm so sorry to say.. But, if you are anything like me, you may not like vacationing in the Outer Banks. It is so run down. There aren't any great places to stay or eat. The ocean is beautiful and there are plenty of stars to see at night. I'm only sharing, because I want to help people from wasting their time and money. There are very friendly people there, but it's not what I thought it would be.

Staff was very friendly. Check in process went smoothly and the rooms were clean. The bed was very comfortable. Would stay here again.

There was a roach in our bathroom in the morning of checkout. I sent a photo to the customer service front desk number they initially texted me on and it was not addressed. Scary to know the situation wasn’t handled properly and that a German roach was out and about in broad day light. They only do that when an infestation is bad.

Fridge leaked and we were told, ‘you know men’, open bottles of shampoo/conditioner were left for our use from previous visitors, remote appeared dirty so after wiping with a rag the black rubbed off onto the rag, chairs and table/nightstand were sticky and after cleaning everything down, the rag was brown from the dirt. The hall smelled so bad of pet urine. I booked on orbitz and chose a pet room and once I got in I was told no pets, the person was able to (barely) switch my room and of course more money was charged to my card. 3rd time staying there and the hotel has gotten worse every stay. Never will stay at that hotel again!

Property was a bit dated but a great stay one elevator was broken so it was a little inconvenient waiting on the the other one that was always full but I would stay here again

I enjoyed having a balcony and the view of the ocean and sunrise, and everyone coming and going were friendly—enough parking spaces. I appreciated receiving a “welcome text” after receiving my room key, that gave me a connection to the hotel for any questions I may have. I appreciated knowing that they cared enough to offer their assistance while I was on their property.
