My husband and I were traveling with our two young grandsons from Gatlinburg, Tenn. back home to Omaha, NE. and were ready to stop for the night. We were on I 74, so I searched online for a hotel that was easy to get to and found this Comfort Suites iun Peoria. We were a little apprehensive at first seeing the closed Perkins Restaurant next door and seeing that the property was covered with weeds. However the Comfort Suites was fine. It is managed ( and owned ?) by a very nice younger couple. They seem to be trying hard to give this hotel the TLC that it needs. Our room was very clean, had a micro wave and fridge etc. The breakfast which was included in the price was very good and plentiful.
The furniture was scratched up in room 117.
Hotel needs updating.

The room we stayed in had stains on the rug and the drapes. The faux leather furniture was breaking. There were ants in the bathroom. The bed was shockingly comfortable but for the price, it was unacceptable upkeep.

I picked this place because of decent reviews... Not sure if I got unlucky with my room, but it was bad. I walked in and saw that it wasn't the room I booked (no king bed), and that it was unkept and generally not very clean.
I booked another room at a different hotel and never looked back. Didn't stay here, and wasn't offered a refund (in fairness it was a non-refundable booking, but under the circumstances I think a refund would have been fair).

I have not stayed in a hotel that only cleans the rooms every three days if you request it in advance. 4 night stay no housekeeping in my room.
