Pretty basic and nothing too fancy. You get what you pay for. However one thing that stood out to me is that staff is not very friendly.

It is not a brand new, fancy place but it was very clean, everything worked properly, staff was very friendly, it was very quiet and convenient, at a reasonable price.

The room smelled extremely old and the heater even gave off another bad smell. Decor is remedy dated.

The non smoking room next door reeked of pot. Upholstery in chair ripped. Bathroom and linens clean. Hotel needs a paint job. Breakfast is mediocre at best. No protein or fruit. Expensive for what it is.

Decent. Just didn’t like smelling smoke in a nonsmoking room. Seemed to be coming from vent in bathroom.

BEST ECONOLODGE OF MY VISIT!
Expedia Group verified review
Clean motel, just a short drive to the main shopping area in Freeport. Decent breakfast in the morning. All in all, nothing special but a clean, comfortable stay.

This Econolodge likely used to be a Motel 6. I arrived at 2:30pm to check in, the man at the front desk made a point to let me know that I was early to check in and did not seem too thrilled about me being there. I apologized and offered to return in 30 minutes, but he let me check in and gave me a room. It was a bit odd. It's not like it was 11am and I was trying to check in. I was out during the day times and housekeeping came by my room at 6:00pm which I thought was rather strange. Getting around the area without a car isn't bad. I was visiting from Boston. There is a bus called Metro Breez that stops in front of the hotel and across the street. There are buses to Portland and the other direction into Freeport. Overall this was the cheapest budget option I could find. Beds are creaky but comfortable. Pillows are mushy with no support. Bathroom and shower were clean, water was nice and hot. I will likely stay elsewhere next time I'm in Freeport.

the sheets looked old and stained. overall the room and furniture need to be refreshed by a good cleaning and painting.
