Very rude unprofessional employees. Even the housekeeping was ignoring when I told her the breakfast hot water was yellow! She told me she's helping other guests! Ok, fine, she never did anything about it. The reception area is always empty. There's always no employees in the morning and afternoon in the reception area. The room was dirty.

I found a hair the room bathroom when I arrived, the hot water at breakfast was yellow and I told the house keeping and she told me she doesn't have time for me, she's serving guests! I'm a guest. The reception almost never had someone and the house keeper with her extreme rudeness was there. Veronica from reception was extremely rude and totally unhelpful, she was aggressive. Not sure I want to go back.

Scary area of town. Didn’t stay

My stay at Spark by Hilton Modesto was mixed. On a positive note, the cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable—even the hallways smelled fresh and clean, which really stood out. The room was also very well maintained. However, the experience at the front desk was very disappointing. One of the staff members, Tina, was rude and unprofessional, which made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Because of this experience, I have decided not to return to this hotel. I even canceled two future reservations I had for June and August. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving customer service.

Staff were friendly and beds were comfortable. Walls were pretty thin. Continental breakfast was decent but hotel needs to schedule staffing accordingly during breakfast hours. Items ran out and were not refilled timely due to one staff member manning reception and breakfast area.

I stayed at the Hilton Spark with my son for a soccer tournament. The hotel is a bit outdated and has an odor to it. Our TV was not working so I called the front desk, and a young man came up. He could not get it working. The manager came up female and made some remarks how a man should have been able to fix the TV. They said they needed to reprogram the TV so I took my son for ice cream. When we got back the TV still did not work. We were then shifted into a new room, next to some very loud people. I had to call at 10pm, to complain about the noise. Additionally, you could hear everything through the walls, the people walking on the floor above and anytime someone walked pass your room. The carpet was so worn and the elevator was a bit scary. I would not recommend staying here. If you are solely looking for a cheap place sure, but if you are looking for a good night sleep, this is not the place. Also, breakfast was just ok.

Newly renovated. Clean rooms.

The staff was always very friendly and attentive. Rooms were decently clean. Sheets had some old stains on them. Bathroom sink drained super slow but my boyfriend was able to quickly fix that. Toilet flushed hard. Like seriously thought it was going to break every time we flushed it. Otherwise it was perfect for the price
