Carpet was stained and gross. Bathroom smelt like urine. And there was a cockroach in the hotel room. I will not be back

The property was fine. I was really disappointed that even though they list the pool and hot tub as amenities, their heater has been down for over a month and they didn’t inform us in any way. We planned this trip to hike and really wanted the hot tub for the end of our day. The rooms were fine. The coffee provided in the room was awful, don’t bother. The towels were clean but small and worn with frayed ends. Not a bad place, but for the price you could probably find better. With a few minor upgrades this could be a very nice best western.

Bathroom built for midgets. Could see light all around the front door. Plumbing was sub par….no water pressure. Vagrants wandering the property at all times. Carpet had wet spots….

The staff was awesome we had an issue with our room and they were so fast to take care of it. The rooms are a bit small but it is San Diego, and primarily I speak of the restroom dining room kitchenette area which is all of 2x2. My mom was with us on the trip trying to do business from her laptop and she was having a hard time with the Wi-Fi. The front counter staff was trying to fix it but last I heard it was never resolved by checkout. If you're going to the San Diego Zoo or staying in San Diego for whatever reason this place is right off the freeway but if you wanted to walk it's not near anything that is considered walkable in our world. I think it was at least a 30-minute walk to like the nearby Walgreens it's got you kind of pinned between a river and a freeway. It is really close to an awesome little restaurant called Remy's ($$$ great happy hour though)
