The staff was very helpful and upgraded us. The rooms are outdated and need to be upgraded. A/C didn’t work really well-Just ok. Breakfast was not great…fair eggs and bacon. Not many choices, just very basic.

This is actually a beautiful building. The rooms of especially the bathrooms that they are advertising with Jacuzzi tubs are extremely overdue for renovation. There is paint and tile chipping all over the place in the bathroom and Jacuzzi tub. The sheets had those are yellow stains on them if you know what I’m talking about it looks good from the outside. It’s a different world on the inside.

I've stayed here several times, but haven't been here in about a year. I was disappointed in the cleanliness as well as some things in need of repair. Breakfast was okay. There was an issue with someone leaving their dog unattended for a number of hours. The poor dog was scratching at the door of the room, making a lot of noise. I tried to reach the front desk, but no one answered the phone. I don't mind pet friendly hotels. I have a dog. It was frustrating that no one could be reached.

Room was clean, however a few things to note -
Furniture is a little dated and due for update. Tub was fine although it needs to be slip proofed for those of us who are seniors and need to be extra careful about falls ( definitely a potential liability issue for hotel).
Breakfast was good and water view was a bonus.
Overall, it was a charming place ( albeit older), off the beaten path of hotel row along Route 9 in Poughkeepsie.
