All of the entry doors were broken. There were holes in the bathroom doors, the popcorn ceiling were peeling off over the tub, the faucet was broken in one room not allowing any showers to be taken in that room. Staff were not always at the desk, you had to call a phone number to get someone to the desk.

The first room that we were put in had Bed Bugs, not clean, no ice bucket or ice bag

The room is advertised as having continental breakfast included. When we checked in, the lobby was closed and we had to check in through almost a teller window. At this time, we were informed they no longer did breakfast and it was suppose to be removed from their listings (pictures still showed breakfast too). When we checked in, the towels were still being washed; however we were brought warm towels as soon as they were done. Our kids feet turned black/gray from running around the room barefoot within an hour. There was a spot between the bed and nightstand that looked like something was spilled and not mopped. The beds were clean and made. There was a spot on the ceiling in the bathroom where the paint was peeling up. Although the room was remodeled, I feel like it was almost like putting make up on a pig. The room was quiet and the guests appeared spaced out to not bother eachother. The overall price wasn’t bad since we used points; however, I probably won’t be returning next time.

So I booked on a last minute spite. I was booked at another hotel room 20minutes away. I arrived there and the worker at this other hotel in defuniak tells me “my manager cancelled ur reservation bc of how cheap I got the room”. Definitely was a first for that. Well I jumped back on hotels.com and landed this hotel which was actually 1.5 miles away from the lake fest I was working at. Overall turned out great and the gal that checked me in Friday night was fantastic. As far as the other hotel that cancelled me with no call no email I’ll be reaching out to corporate for product discrimination. Especially since my room was booked and paid for 6 weeks in advance.

We probably won't be back. You could see sunlight coming in around the motel door. Had requested 2 Queen beds. The beds are just doubles. But they were clean. No Continental breakfast. No coffeemaker. Had to request a microwave, and a remote for the T.V. The owner did supply those items, once asked. They're "Pet Friendly", but they do charge a fee.

Everything was great

This was a very late night booking and not worth the money we spent. My husband and I stopped here after driving for many hours and this was probably one of the grossest rooms we've ever stayed in. It was close to midnight and, granted we weren't looking to spend a ton on a place to sleep for a few hours, but next time we will absolutely spend more to sleep in a clean, safe feeling space. We booked a last minute stay through Expedia and somehow I chose a "smoking" room, which I did not see on the listing until we pulled up, so my husband notified the man of my error, behind the small window he had to talk through (the lobby seems to remained locked, even in the daytime hours, and you eventually speak to a person through a small plexiglass window on the side of the building.. honestly, should've been my first clue.) He said that he could accommodate us in a "non smoking room but it would be more", but after noticing the look on my tired husband's face, followed it up with "but I can price match it for you, no problem.." This room was musty feeling and smelled like straight urine, the tub faucet leaked ALL NIGHT, there was a hole in the bathroom door, someone's hair tie left on the floor behind the door.. needless to say I did not sleep, but my husband needed the rest, so my noisy neighbors and boundless anxiety stuck around while he got a few hours of sleep. Checking out took way too long too, but thank God this will now be a distant memory.. Choose a different exit to stop!

Arrived at check-in time. Doors were locked, lights were off. A note pasted to the window had a tel. Number to call: it went to an unidentified voice mail. Left message, call was not returned. Drove around property… there were three vehicles and two unsavory characters sitting on hotel furniture that had been pulled outside (totally obscured back corner of the property). It was scary, freaky and we bailed. No refund either!! Will strongly reconsider using Expedia in the future.

Terrible place even to crash. The pictures are totally illusion and AI based. Its not a hotel for family to stay for night. The condition of hotel is way too terrible only location is ok as its nearer to i10.

First thing i noticed is the lobby was locked to guests at 4:30 pm. Had to ring a bell for service. Person at window was pleasant. No name tag so i could not give her kudos. On departure only was still locked at 8:30 am. New person at window. I asked if the lobby was ever unlocked. He said no. Reservation was for a standard King non smoking room. At initial entrance of room it was neat, one sitting chair beside the bed. Desk with no drawers across from bed as well as a dresser/tv stand. Decent Smart TV but no directions in the room as how to operate it. sink/mirror setup. tooth paste or some type of blue goo in front of the sink. There were clean towels and wash cloths in the bathroom. Toilet looked decent. Bathtub was dirty. The bottom of tub is textured and dirt was settled into it. Needed a good brush scrubbing before use. No telephones in rooms to contact front desk. i scrubbed the tub myself before entering it for my shower. Photos of property showed restaurant/dining area but was unable to access it door to locked doors. There was a coffee maker, fridge, and microwave in the room. Microwave worked fine and was clean. Fridge was on but not cooling. There was a coffee maker but no coffee in the room. Closer look at coffee maker. It was dirty and missing basket. Room was not worth the $10 difference in price of a much better hotel. Don’t waste your money.
