Pet Friendly Lodging Reviews

The staff at check-in was friendly and accommodating, although their paperwork was out of date to what the policies were. They provide you with a banner for your door saying you have a pet inside, and paperwork says you cannot leave the pet in the room unattended. Since we were there for a funeral we left our pug in a kennel, and spoke with the cleaning staff before we left to get new towels and let them know we didn't need anything else. The room smelled as if it had not been cleaned well before we arrived, and our dog let us know that several other dogs had peed on the corners of the bed and wall previously. After the first night my wife thought she saw a flea on the pug, but couldn't find it later. We did find a dead insect that *may have been* a flea on the bedspread on the morning we left. We notified the hotel at check-out and they said that they have someone come in an spray every two weeks, and that they would contact them to have them come back right away. He was on flea and tick preventative so we are not too worried about him, but needed to clean everything extensively when we returned home. So the staff was good to deal with and accommodating - just the hotel could use a make-over in general as it was dirty and beat-up. Price for the pet was great, but the normal room fee seemed extraordinarily high, although it was a weekend, with the total bill for a Friday and Saturday night stay being slightly more than $470 total (our options were limited as we wanted to be close to the funeral home).
