All I can say is more than great.

I was a bit worried when we drove into the neighborhood, but the hotel does a good job of isolating itself it is a charming hotel and the property is clean and very well kept the décor is elegant and comfortable. Check in and out was easy and we enjoyed our stay very much. We will definitely be going back as the hotel is central to many of LA and Hollywood's attractions and must see's.

Disappointing Stay and Misleading Advertising: I was very disappointed with my stay at The Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles. The location is not ideal for tourists, and several taxi drivers advised us not to walk around the area at night, which made us feel uneasy. The hotel shown on the website looks far better than it does in reality. In person, the property feels tired and run down. The rooms are extremely small, with no wardrobe space and nowhere practical to put a suitcase. We had to repeatedly place our suitcase on the bed to open it and then move it off again due to the lack of space. The tiled flooring also made the room feel less comfortable, and I was surprised that there were no complimentary tea or coffee sachets provided, which I would normally expect from a hotel. If you're simply looking for a bed for the night, the hotel is adequate. However, it is not somewhere I would want to spend much time, despite the fact that it advertises an outdoor swimming pool. My biggest frustration is that the hotel was not represented accurately on Hotels.com. Based on the photographs and description, I expected a much higher standard of accommodation. Had the hotel been advertised more honestly, I would not have chosen to stay there. I believe Hotels.com should ensure that the property's listing reflects the actual condition and facilities of the hotel so that travellers can make informed decisions.

The hotel staff were nice and helpful. The room was nice, clean and the beds were super comfy.

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience, my son is special needs and we were given a room on the first floor in a busy hallway. We also had multiple cockroaches in the room. We arrived at 2:00am and only stayed in the hotel until 10. Didnt stay a second night we had booked because we were very concerned with the hotels cleanliness. The hotel is not what it seems like in the pictures. No refund was provided for the second night. We even have pictures of the cockroaches and were not even offered an apology.

No bar, and no tea or coffee provided in the room , a few things not replaced by housekeeping. Location was good for travelling around LA by car. Wouldn't recommend if no access to a vehicle. Overall our stay was good as we used it as a base and travelled to places each day.

The booking stated a queen bed but it felt smaller than a standard queen honestly, however my biggest complaints are that we booked a “city view” and got a room overlooking a courtyard in the hotel, as well as the “shuttles” that are stated in the amenities for the booking only to find out the hotel does NOT offer shuttles (even for the surcharge stated in the booking)—they just offer “info” on rideshare options meaning you can ask a worker and they will tell you how to use the metro or find another type of shuttle nearby. The pool was nice and the area was clean and the cleaning lady was very friendly, the manager that checked us in and out was kind also, however there was one worker who did not seem to enjoy helping anyone, we asked about how the sauna worked and he was very rude about it and then we asked about the shuttle and thats when we learned they dont offer them—he told me “idk what travel agency you booked with but we don’t do that” overall the hotel was okay, just not as nice as it seemed when we booked initially, also the area is a little rough if you have kiddos so just keep that in mind. The street food vendors nearby were the best part to be honest

The beds were comfortable enough. Staff ran through the steps they had to do. Maids were talking to each other from one end of the hall to the other as we were walking with no response when we greeted them. Very busy day before for us, we woke up late, our bad. We called for extra check out time to get dressed. Options were: Until 2:00pm for $99 more or 1/2 hour. The bathroom light combo was so loud, it began to give me a headache when getting ready, I had to step out. Everything for coffee was setup with no coffee machine or courtesy coffee etc. Refrigerator dial was broken when I tried to adjust temperature. I paid $200 a night, I don’t travel often but I’ve stayed at nicer places with everything working and breakfast included for less. Rating: 6

We arrived in the early hours of the morning after a long flight and went straight to bed. When we woke up, we found ants crawling all over the bathroom floor. We also realised our room looked nothing like the photos we’d booked from on Hotels.com, which was really disappointing. When we first approached reception, the staff weren’t particularly helpful and told us the hotel was fully booked and that we couldn’t be refunded or check out early. After some back and forth, and with help from Hotels.com, they eventually found us another room. We were moved to what they called a Deluxe Room, and this was exactly like the photos we’d originally booked. It was also on the second floor, and thankfully we had no issues with ants. Once the room change was sorted, we were very happy with our stay. The room was spacious, the breakfast café on site was good and open until 11:30am, and the location was convenient for exploring the east side of LA. Overall, you get what you pay for – it’s one of the more affordable options, and once we were in the correct room, it was a comfortable stay
