Two sides to this review. 1. The rooms are very nice with what looks like new interiors. The office and exterior appear to be in a state of renovation. The staff may still be in training as the check in was slow and they initially gave me key cards to an occupied room…surprise! Overall, I enjoyed the stay once I got my room and could relax in the nice interior.

Terrible

Hotel is under construction being renovated however our room looked completely renovated and was clean and had everything we needed. 2 minutes from NAU and we felt safe.

Apparently they’ve VERY recently rebranded as The Overland Hotel. Wasn’t sure I was in the right place at first, but turns out I was. Both rooms I saw were very clean. Heater didn’t work in the first room, but they got me moved to a room with working heat with no hassle. Bed was super comfy. Location is close to the train tracks, but the train rumble just kind of blended in with the heater’s fan noise. Breakfast selection is fairly limited - some muffins, bread for toast, pancake machine, a couple of dry cereal options with milk, then juice and coffee to drink. Coffee was decent - not amazing, not terrible. Probably would’ve gone across the street to the Galaxy Diner for a more substantial breakfast, but I think they were closed for Easter.

Clean room

The room was nice, clean and the bathroom was upgraded. The AC/heater combo was quiet but high on the wall. The staff was very helpful. the area was quiet.

This is a good-value serviceable room, well-priced do the comfort level. The bed was comfortable, the shower very good. There may be noise disturbances due to the location. I would recommend if you put coat above amenities, and are willing to risk some noise or inconvenience. The access to the parking lot became tricky from the east due to lane reconfiguration. Google Maps hasn’t updated this change yet.

Clean room, nice staff, everything was fine. The nearby area was very busy and noisy at times. But, didn’t take away from a one night stay

Friendly accommodating staff, clean room, nice breakfast, good $ value.
