We escaped a hot spell in Vancouver by going to Salishan for a couple of nights, and really enjoyed it. The room was large and reasonably comfortable. The style was somewhat dated, but very attractive in an old fashioned way. The grounds were gorgeous and the beach was beautiful. Our dog was welcome pretty much everywhere but the restaurant - and we had an incredible meal at the Bay House restaurant. Be aware that there is no AC. The area stayed cool enough that we did not need it.
