This property is very run down. The bathroom door actually hit the toilet bc the toilet was too elongated, and it’s been taking the paint off the door! Everything needs to be updated- flooring, furniture, security lock ( ours was abused and coming loose from the doorjamb, so no extra security there), bathroom fixtures, ( sink not draining and stained) advertised breakfast is cold grab n go, and, coming back in from dinner, some guy was taking a whizz in the driveway. Really nice. Go somewhere else.

Beautiful views. I booked with low expectations after reading the reviews. The cost is fair for what you get. I’d spend 1 night there again.

Worst hotel stay in a year. Water pressure drops to a dribble when turned up to hot (it turns out you can turn it toward cold and re-approach hot from below while keeping better pressure, but i hadn't figured this out yet during my first barely-a-tricklle shower). The outlet next to the bed turns off when the overhead light is switched off -- so you cannot use the bedside lamp or charge your phone with the light off (what is the point of a bedside lamp then?). The pillows are hard, though the mattress itself was fine. They gave us only one thin blanket even though it's December and 30 degrees outside. We didn't realize it until we were already climbing into bed. When we called to ask for more, no one could bring it to us because they do not have sufficient staff. We had to put on a coat over our pajamas and go outside to the lobby to get it. The room does not get dark because the exterior lights stay on and there is no blackout curtain. And the train passes very close-by and is very loud, making it difficult to sleep. Although there is a pretty view of the Hudson River from most points on the property, this was overall my worst 2-star hotel experience in a long time.
