The staff at front desk was best. Period.
Ask for Anthony. The Best hands down.
Comfortable, stylish old hotel in good location.
I really like the high ceilings and classic, old architecture. Bed was perfect. I would stay again.
A standout experience.
When I stay in Portland this only hotel I consider for its location, service and ambiance.
Spacious and Clean.
Greeter was so kind and helpful. The front desk was absolutely wonderful. Only downfall was surrounding downtown area was pretty sketchy.
Awesome Stay
Great location, great amenities. Would definitely stay again.

The area was perfect! Powell’s books/Shake Shack/Coffee shops were all within 5 minutes walking distance. really good sushi place next to the hotel. There is homeless closer to china town & at night we saw a couple but i feel like that’s every downtown area. The parking was $32 a night but it’s in a closed garage which made me feel safe. The actual room seemed old/outdated but the location was perfect & for the price it was good.

Pros - Convenient location. Great shops and restaurants nearby. - Comparable onsite garage parking fees - Good size room for the suite we booked with a kitchen - Good customer service during one night where I phoned the front desk about an issue Cons - The place is a bit dated for my liking - Shower took quite some time for the water to heat up - Day 4 (Sat) of our stay. Upon our return in the afternoon, the room reeked of a sewage smell. We instantly opened the windows and went down to the lobby to notify the front desk immediately and they caught an attitude with my husband when he asked if they needed anything else from us while we stood there waiting for a response. They did inform us that all the rooms were booked and we were waiting on them to tell us they would send maintenance to check on it. But we just stood there in silence while they were checking for available rooms (even though they just said they were fully booked). Instead, I asked if they can send someone to at least check it out while we’re gone. They said yes. But the whole interaction was annoying af. Came back and a different rep told us they sent someone to check it but couldn’t provide me any updates as they just started their shift but the hotel did put a room on hold for us just in case the smell didn’t go away. Luckily it did. This whole experience was off putting as I’ve never experienced sewage smell in a hotel room and I travel a lot for work and leisure.
