Pet Friendly Lodging Reviews

We arrived at 9:30 p.m. on the first day of a cross-country road trip. We were greeted with a, “Do you have a reservation? Because even if you do, we probably won’t have a room.” Indeed, apparently they were understaffed and so couldn’t get all the rooms cleaned. She told us that we could have a room with one king for a family of four and have to pay $5 more or they would happily cancel our reservation for us. I asked why they didn’t contact us earlier if they knew there wasn’t a room. She said that would have been a good idea. We ended up with the king because our options were severely limited and the kids had to sleep on the floor. The lobby reeked of old smoke and the room just had an overall unpleasant odor. The room keys never worked and the side door was left unlocked all night. Wish we’d paid more for somewhere nicer. They turned a LOT of people away that night.
