Three rooms later, I got one with all working parts. This is a welfare motel - lots of permanent residents and lots of cockroaches. Staff was mixed - one person was helpful, the other two need to find jobs in other sectors.

Rom smelled and to many cats around the rooms

Shower curtain had mold stains. I understand that older places can have roaches, this place is no exception. For the prices I wasn’t expecting much. I got what I paid for.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at Motel 6 in San Angelo, Texas. My visit was unplanned and made under extremely stressful circumstances as my dad was having emergency heart bypass surgery, and I needed to be at the hospital by 5:30 am. We arrived at the motel around 1:20 am, exhausted and just hoping for a quick rest before the long day ahead, but we were met with a horrifying experience. The moment we opened the door, we were overwhelmed by a disgusting odor that smelled like manure and cigarettes. It was unbearable. To make matters worse, when my husband went to use the restroom, he discovered there was no toilet seat. How is that even possible in a functioning hotel room? I called the front desk, desperate for a solution, but the response was underwhelming. The staff had us go down to get another key for the room next door, which had a similar strong odor. At least this room had a toilet seat, but we ended up sleeping in our clothes because we didn’t feel comfortable enough to even relax. We checked out first thing in the morning, as we couldn’t wait to leave. The property itself was in terrible shape. The trash outside was overflowing, and the area seemed completely neglected. The room was filthy with stains on the walls, broken fixtures, and even a yellow pill left behind by a previous guest, which could have easily been an illegal substance. I shudder to think what could have happened if a child had found it. I want a refund.

The room smelled like wet dog and cigarettes.

First room had no sheets, second room smelled like literal cat urine. The desk staff was understanding and gave us a refund. Do not stay here.

Cockroaches, dirty sheets, no hot water, thin, worn, stained towels, no working tv, AC didn’t cool, light bulbs missing, ceiling light burned out, WiFi wouldn’t connect. Clerk was polite and patient the 3 times I called to ask about water and tv. I should’ve taken her explanation of “the hot and cold are backwards” as a warning, not instructions: absolutely NO hot water. Her explanation of “it’s encrypted” should have been a clue, and then, to tell me I have to watch tv on my phone if the tv wouldn’t screen cast. Wow. The cockroaches were small, but what they lacked in size, they made up for in number. By the third night our purchased cockroach bait had kicked in and it was better. The hair engrained sheets had been washed in too full a load and had not washed clean. So we went to Walmart, purchased bedding, two pillows, towels, cleaner, as the room was filthy, washcloths, and roach bait, came back and made it all more livable, phoned a friend and had showers at her hotel the next two nights. The clerk offered another room but it was the same level of filth and dirty outside as well as difficult to get to and too far from our vehicle, should we need to make a run for it. We didn’t move as it was after midnight. The trade did have tv, lightbulbs, and hot water. You get what you pay for, but we did not. $60 was far too much! The “private owner” should be ashamed! A refund would be great! Please warn potential guests. The property was filthy. Oh, the mattress was good.
