It is convenient to get to the Harbor, restaurants and shops . The area great but we have had terrible experiences here at Motel 6 in Destin. We will never return here when we leave.

The room was filthy!! In 61 years, it’s the worst I’ve ever stayed in! Bare floors were dirty, sink clogged, GROSS, I only used the toilet. Nothing had been cleaned off, counters dirty, trash cans in room filthy. I had to stay there for a couple nights due to hurricane evacuation. Sheets clean, bedcovers gross. Added unneeded stress to my already stressful situation. Buildings are in disrepair. REMODEL OR TEAR THIS DOWN! Parking lot isn’t great either. Wasn’t worth 100 a night. What happened to hurricane discount?

Not the greatest. Pretty sure there was mold on the matress. If youre just needing somewhere to lay down (which is what we needed), then this is a good place for that. It wasnt clean. They might have cleaned at it but there was mold in certai. Areas, and some dirt type stuff all over the floor.

Room reeked of urine - had to return bed spreads to the front desk. Used my own blanket for the first night and it ended up smelling of urine with long strands of hair virtually all over the room. I was unable to back out of booking as it was prepaid and non-refundable. I took the loss and moved into another hotel the very next day and never went back. I don't expect Motel 6 to be a ritz carlton, but I at least expect a room that does not smell and is clean.
