Initially was given a room that still had not been cleaned had personal belonging them from someone else. They did fix that give me a different room, which wasn’t no issue. My only really issue with the room was the fact of there being no sink to clean up except a bar sink when they put the kitchenette in for the remodel The spot for the bathroom sink was removed

The room hadn't been properly cleaned in some time. There was dirt on the floor in the corners. The lamps were dusty. The handle to activate the shower was sitting on the tub. The bathroom door wouldn't close and the wood at the bottom of the door was delaminating. One of the lamps needed a new bulb. The walls and trim needed to be painted again.

We love that the hotel was pet friendly. The staff was very nice and helpful, but the linens did not seem clean and the TV remote or phone did not work.

The first room we were assigned to was next to a long term resident who had cats living in their room. I saw a cat in their window and the litter outside — which is fine — except our room next door smelled so strongly of cat droppings and litter that it was nauseating. I asked for our room to be moved and I was accommodated, but the next room we were assigned to had a different, yet strong, odor, and was dilapidated. The room looked next to nothing like the photos, except for the orange wall. It was dirty, there were cigarette burns in the quilt, there were black and brown scrapes and scratches all over the walls and floors, splatters by the trash can, bugs in the corner of the ceiling, and the bathroom mirror was coming apart. We decided to cut our losses and check into a different hotel that same day. I am very, very confused as to why anyone would rate this hotel anything more than one star. I would like to add I am an extremely go-with-the-flow person and I never cause a ruckus. I knew it was a motel 6, I was not expecting luxury, but I was expecting what was in the photos, and this was not it. If you are thinking of staying here for the cheap price, I highly recommend splurging an extra couple dollars to stay at any other hotel.

Well, let’s start with the positives. The water worked, the air worked, and the sheets seemed clean. After that, light fixtures didn’t work, lots of bad cosmetic maintenance, cat litter outside the door, looks like the outside was closed down and abandoned. I asked for maintenance to fix the light in the bathroom but there was no one there to do that. I asked for another room. That seemed to be inconvenient for them. Parts of the outside were falling down. The key card was in a used and torn sleeve obviously used by other people instead of a new piece of folded paper to present the customer. Really one of the worst places I have stayed.

Property easily accesses highway 73 south to Port Arthur. Gas stations and restaurants easily accessible.

The price was right. Room was clean. Not fancy but
