Dove is the brand they carry for lotion, shampoo, conditioner etc and I thought that was really cool! The location was sooo perfect. The beach is literally across the street. Pet friendly. Plenty of walkable grass areas outside of the hotel. Would stay here again.

if you want to be a block away from the beach in one of the most beautiful places in California and NOT pay BIG bucks, this is your venue. Realize though, the bed is a double (in my room) no coffee pot (I brought my own single shot)and the room is small. . . but clean with refrigerator. Staff is very nice and I got a free bottle of White Wine with my room.I would stay again but I would be on second floor with view.My companion couldn't walk up stair but we could see the beach from our door.

This is the original Motel 6- just about one block from the Santa Barbara beach. It had been decorated in “retro” style and very unique. We would have given it 4-5 stars, but had a big problem- the shower faucet was difficult to turn on and impossible for us to turn off. A desk clerk had to come to our room two mornings to help; our third morning we skipped the shower. So, basically for $300/night, we got a bed and no shower.
The desk staff all were pleasant, but could not fix the problem. Apparently no maintenance personnel worked on the weekend. Maintenance problems only happen during the work week??
