We were able to eat at Shoney's and talk with the most easy going and helpful individual, Sonya. More should be hired like her. In our many travels, Sonya stands at the top of our list for friendliness. person who handled the hotel everyday business, Sonya. In all of our travels, never have we been so blessed with such a personable man individual.

Very clean and very good costumers service.

Elevator was broken; stairway dirty, room was dirty; 3 cans of beer in refrigerator from previous guest??? When we turned the air on; smelled like urine- breakfast food fair; plastic ware and plates so cheap could not cut with w/ knife or fork; thin fragile sterofoamplates; would have left on arrival had it not been late and we were very tired also room above us sounded like a herd of cattle stomping around; unable to go to sleep; definitely would not stay again

Disappointing that the pool was not operational and this information was not provided before stay. Elevator was not operational. Ceiling tiles in the hotel and room shows water issue. The only redeeming value to the property was how pleasant and helpful the staff members were. The owner is lucky to have them but needs to care and stay on top of the property.

Elevator not working, found out its been that way for months. Room was muggy and damp and ceilings have water damage throughout property. Ants all over the coffee creamers. The staff was awesome, but the property needs serious attention and Holiday Inn Corp should be ashamed

The staff were very friendly. However, the elevator was broken. The pool was out of service. The room smelled like mold. The clerk was spraying air freshener in the room down from us so they must have complained also. The bathroom was in horrible condition. No one in our room would take a shower because of this. I was extremely dissatisfied with the amount I paid for this room! Luckily they found the last room on the first floor because there’s no way my sister could walk up the stairs. She is disabled. My daughter, who has Down syndrome looks forward to the pool and she couldn’t use it. We will not stay in the hotel again.

The hotel lobby was clean and updated. When I arrived the elevator was broken and being disabled I had to take a first floor room. The room they gave me was a large suite but out dated. It was clean. The front desk staff was friendly. The housekeeping staff seemed to not speak very little English or they just didn't want to help. My tv wasn't working so I asked them if they could fix it and all she said was 'front desk'. The front desk staff told me that the cable was down. I stayed in the hotel two nights and spent one night and one day without a tv. The breakfast was great. Omelets, gravy, biscuits, sausages, bagels, cereals, pancakes, and yogurts. Juice and milk also. My stay was just for relaxing in between a trip to visit my sons and granddaughters in KY and going back home in SC. The hotel has a gym, outside pool and a business center area.

No pet policy is the reason we ALWAYS try to find a Holiday Inn Express. We travel a lot and we are very allergic to animals. Most hotels let animals in the rooms, so we refuse to stay in those places. Holiday Inn Express has cleaner and better-smelling rooms because they do not allow animals (except service animals) in their hotels. If you want a cleaner hotel, make sure you stay at Holiday Inn Express.

Pool was closed our entire stay and the elevator was brown our entire stay.
