A nice location on Nov Hill. Close to the cable cars, North Beach, China Town and the waterfront.

Charming and nostalgic
While the Mark Hopkins is less than it was in its glory, it remains elegant and proud. The Top of the Mark does not disappoint with 360 degree views, tasty drinks and bar food. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff is very helpful and attentive. The restaurant is beautiful and food good. Towels are fluffy. The location is ideal for being away from the bustle of Market St but easy access to everywhere. It is old. The lobby and check in show their age but beyond that, I loved it.

Wonderful weekend in the city.
My son gave my wife and I a weekend in the city which included the stay at the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins. It was a wonderful experience from the doormen to the room service maid. She was tipped on the spot for her attention to detail. The doormen, Beluga, and friend were delightful. A wonderful experience in the cleaned up version of San Francisco.

It’s a landmark yes, but the staff hoist the experience over the top.

Room was very nice, and clean. I loved the location. The only thing they could work on is the rooftop bar. Very friendly service but the cocktails we got were not very good.

Would never book intercontinental if this is the new standards. No Amenities in room dated hotel need refresh staff and management don’t know what hats happening both tell you different things property is under renovations not stated on Expedia

Traveled with my family of 4. Old and charming building and very friendly staff. Not suited for families with small children, especially if you need a refrigerator as they don’t offer one. We had to put milk in the ice bucket with ice so it wouldn’t go bad. They offered full sized beds, not queen sized. Parking was $77 per night (ouch). But the view from the 8th floor was very nice.
