I usually never complain but if it helps my next visit to have trained or experienced valet service not all were on the spot to ask for assistance with my bags and at the end I had to pull over to reload my car bc I couldn’t see out of back with only a few items. Be mindful of visibility or ask. All were given a tip. At the front desk the reception was inhospitable or they acted like they didn’t want to be there or was new. Negative vibe for me. Nothing extra in the least. I’ve been coming here for 15 years maybe it’s been too long and this is the way it is, but quite noticeable.

They have phenomenal customer service from valet thru bellhops, front desk, room service, and restaurants. I’ll definitely recommend The Hilton Del Mar. Cheers!

Incompetent workers at the front desk who do not care for the customer or their needs. Was told we were able to extend our stay by one night at the same rate. They did not let us know that we would need to change rooms. We had to change our daily plans to return to the hotel in a rush. Upon returning, we asked for our new keys and were told we had not paid for the room yet and that it would cost more than we were told. They also did not clearly let us know that parking would be 30 plus dollars a night. Broken sink handles, broken side door, and broken towel hanger. Uncomfortable beds and slow internet. Will not stay here again even if it’s free.
