I really liked the pool and barrel saunas. The facility was clean. Most staff was friendly.

Overall a solid property. The main complaints is the noise levels. Very thin walls, you can hear everything, seems like the property knows this as they provide earplugs. The other main complaint was the resort fee. It's only in the fine print on their Expedia page so it came as a surprise for us, our fault for not seeing it. All and all the value for this property wasn't really there vs other properties we have stayed at in Long Beach. The good things about the hotel was everything was clean and in good condition. Very good location for walking to the beach, boardwalk, and the main downtown corridor. But again there are other properties that have a much better value with the same good features as this one.

The location of this property is convenient to the beach. Also it about a 10 minute walk to shopping. There is a restaurant, coffee shop and distillery on-site. All staff we encountered were kind and helpful. The room we had was clean, and stocked. Our room was considered a partial beach view, queen with the padded bench under the window. The padded bench was a great touch to sit and watch the surf. The bed was the perfect balance between firm and soft. The shower was a tub with the shower head placed high with nice pressure. Our room was decorated in an eclectic fashion, clean with a mini frig. There were bath robes for use. We did visit the distillery, distillery and coffee shop, with no complaints. Some items that were on my wish listed that I missed....... coffee pot and microwave in the room. I'm thinking the attached coffee shop and restaurant was the reason these items were not in the room. There was a microwave by the ice machine on each floor you have to share with everyone in the hotel. I'm a stickler for a coffee pot and microwave in the room. The other odd thing was ear plugs on the night stands. Never experienced that before. We were on the third floor. The noise in the hallway was not really any different than any other hotel. We did discover the floors are a little thin. But, it is an older building. Overall we will revisit this location.

Kind of shabby room. No coffee maker in room, walking outside in the wind in pj's, , this could be better!
