I have always loved this historic inn.

A great place for the the price. Convenient to everything.

Comfortable and clean. Old / historic property with character - uneven floors and limited places to hang clothing. Staff were very nice and friendly.

There was no bar and we left before breakfast.

I love this place. It’s old and quirky. The floors are uneven. The wallpaper is gorgeous. The corners aren’t right angles. But it feels like genuine old New England.

Honestly was very let down. This was supposed to be a special weekend for my partner and I celebrating his birthday. The rooms look nothing like the ‚updated’ photos that are shown. I understand it is an old building but to not even fix the doors which leave a quarter of an inch looking into the rooms. We also had an issue with parking because we were told “there’s no more passes” and were dismissed. We had to figure it out ourselves which was not the simplest thing to do. There were no towels in my room but by the time I showered and noticed it had been past 8pm and there was no one to contact. The bathroom door was also loose and had actually ”popped” out of the doorframe in the middle of the night which terrified us both.

The building is charming and historic and it’s a really great location! The rooms are not updated at all and lack some basics, like a table to put your things and plugs that are accessible. The walls are very thin and the staff is unreachable at night. With a little love this place could be really amazing!

Courteous and knowledgeable staff. Ease of check-in/checking out. Loved all the history of Thayers Inn. Will be back

It took our room quite a while to warm up, like by the next morning. Also, the breakfast was only cereal and coffee/tea/juices.
