Overall it was pretty incredible, very helpful staff, beautiful property that was very well maintained, bar staff very friendly, great food. The location is super convenient.

Excellent Service

My experience began poorly at check-in when I was assigned Room 102, which overlooks the parking lot. At no point during the booking process or on your website was it apparent that a standard room could have this type of view. Had I known this, I would not have booked the resort. When I raised my concerns with the front desk, I was told that because I had not booked a specific room view, nothing could be done. I was also told, "There's a reason they don't post that room online, but it has to get filled anyway." I found this comment extremely concerning. Unfortunately, the room itself was far worse than just the view. Room 102 shares a wall with two elevators and sits directly behind the front desk and adjacent to the lobby. Throughout my stay, I was constantly disturbed by elevator noise, lobby music, conversations at the front desk, guests checking in and out, and children running through the hallway. It was impossible to relax or get a full night's sleep. I specifically chose a resort for a peaceful vacation, but I left feeling exhausted. I reported these issues during my stay and asked to be moved to another room but was told there was no availability, that the hotel was sold out for the next three nights and then there was absolutely nothing that they could do. This was later contradicted at checkout when a different front desk worker asked us how our stay was and when we were honest, she said we “should have said something, and they could have tried to move us.”

The property was beautiful

Genuinely think this would be a wonderful resort! Unfortunately we ran into a few issues with the uncleanliness of the corridors which needed a good hoover and also had children running up and down the corridors at all hours of both nights of our stay and banging on doors. I did phone reception about this and they dealt with this the best they could - it was parents who needed informed.

Housekeeping did a nice job and the staff was very helpful. The amenities are very nice, but we could not enjoy the beach 3/5 days of our vacation due to the algae in the water. It was disappointing to pay full price for things we could not use and we had no warning of the odor in the entire property either.
