I always check beds when I get into rooms, just in case there are bed bugs. My bed sheets had not been changed or washed, or both. There was human debris all over the sheets. I went and got new sheets. The lady at the desk was very kind and helpful. The toilet seat had dried urine on it, which made my son balk. I cleaned it up. The towels had other people hair on them, which is always icky. The beds were rock hard and super noisy when readjusting position and the pillows were thin and not too comfy. The pool looked neat, but I didn't get a chance to check it out. It's immediately off the highway, so the location is convenient. It was very inexpensive compared to other options in GR. The cons outweigh the pros, but if you just need a place to crash overnight and don't care about comfort or cleanliness, have at it.

For 400 dollars per week, not too bad. We were in room 352. The smell in the hallways heading to rooms 340-366 was not great. Smelled of dog urine and feces. I can’t say anything about the other hallways. Vending machines were here but the drinks were hot (not a problem for me). We had to purchase roach traps to help keep them down. It’s an older building with permanent residents so some pests are expected, but there were more than just a couple here or there. Pest control came once a week sprayed one spray around the fridge then walked out. Wi-Fi is offered but is a hit or miss situation. A microwave and fridge were in the room. The microwave had a roach nymph stuck to the inside. The fridge smelled like coolant and did not cool. I can’t say anything for the pool as I did not use it.

Floors are very squeaky, making it not a very quiet place. The beds were not very comfortable. They only have two wheelchair accessible rooms and do not have a shower chair available on request.

I wasn’t traveling with my dog this time, but I appreciate that it’s a dog friendly place.

Nothing wrong with the room or the area, but the lack of internet/Wifi is unacceptable. Staff told me it was "unexpected." I had to go to a library down the road to get work done online. I didn't realize I was traveling back to 1975 in Grand Rapids.

It was also an extended stay, that was not disclosed before hand. The whole place smelled like mold and animal urine. I left a day early
