There were tons of roaches and I couldn't get my room switched or a refund I literally had to go buy bug spray so roaches won't get on me or my kids

Upon arrival, we got there an hour after check-in and we’re told the room had to be checked, which was fine but then we got to the room and noticed it wasn’t the cleanest. Some of the lights did not function and the building has a very different not good smell to it for the price and needing somewhere last minute. It was OK but if you’re going on a family or fun trip I probably wouldn’t recommend the staff however was very nice and the pool was large

Hotel staff was amazing. However, this is more of a long term, live in, motel. Photos on Expedia are very deceiving. Permanent residents can be confrontational and make you uncomfortable. Make sure you have a full inventory of any pool supplies/toys, or you will be accused of stealing from the long term residents. If the listing was actually accurate we definitely would NOT have booked here.

Our room had roaches!!! Found them crawling on the walls, in bathroom, running across furniture. We reported situation to front desk and was told that it was the last available room. We told him that there was no way we were staying another minute in that room and he offered a refund which I’m waiting to receive! We are dry cleaning our clothing and suitcase as a precautionary measure. As you may well imagine, we will never stay at another Motel 6 without an on-site inspection by us. This was a jarring experience. Blessedly we were able to still find another motel on our own last night.

I am in a wheelchair, and as such, my only complaint is the odd set up for persons with disabilities to enter. One must wheel down past the actual front doors, which are stair assessable only, then enter a bit of covered area (which was by far the only real dirty and/or broken down looking space), then ride the elevator up and enter on the other side of the main foyer from the front desk. It wasn't such a big deal that I wouldn't stay again, but it was quite an annoyance. I believe a ramp renovated into the side of the stairs would be a really good investment, as for handicapped persons, this would seem to be the only truly bad notation on the building. With that said, the room was very clean and cozy, and the couple staff members I had dealings with were amazingly nice. My son and I were in Michigan for a college graduation, and I am disabled with very little income. At the price point on this room.,however, was quite a good deal. I would like to thank the staff for being a part of our wonderful weekend in Grand Rapids, particularly the women who checked us in and out. They were both quite helpful and quite kind.

Room was clean and comfortable. Good water pressure.

The reviews on this motel were not accurate. I checked in, went to my room and left. I drove away and went to another hotel that night. There was no way I could sleep here. I was sure my car would be gone in the morning.

The a/c unit had a dog piss smell like it got peed on and was never cleaned and caused the whole room to smell. The room itself was clean. Shower area had some mold in grout.
