This was my second time staying at Maren. My favorite part of the hotel is being right across the street from the beach. It’s close to all the local restaurants and Elbo room which I haven’t visited myself but every time we pass by it’s always packed. Also Sean is amazing, he makes sure you are well prepared for your stay and has loads of recommendations. Would recommend. Small disclaimer. There is construction nearby but honestly not that much of a bother.

We had a marina room view with a balcony. Balcony is very narrow but was fine for morning coffee. We did note a humming noise whenever we were out on the balcony. Not sure if it was from the HVAC system or nearby construction but it was a bit annoying. Room was a good size and beds were comfortable and the room was clean although the carpet could use a refresh. That is the good. The staff was mediocre at best and the onsite restaurant, Riviera was absolutely terrible. Waited almost two hours for breakfast and when it arrived it was not good food. We were comped most of the expense of the meal but did not go back to the restaurant the rest of the visit. The daily resort fee's do not align with the "free" amenities. The free drink coupons can only be used for a handful of beverages, the bicycles available are all in need of repair and you have to pay for the airport shuttle they offer. Pool area is nice, rooms are nice and location and proximity to beach are great. Staff and restaurant need massive improvements.

This is a great property. The location is within walking distance of the beach, and plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops. There are areas great for families, and also party spots. The hotel itself is clean and beautiful. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! The pool area which sits on the 5th floor is really nice with amazing views of the coastline.
