The bar wasn't stocked, nor was it open.
The breakfast wasn't well-stocked and after we ate, we were brought a bill. I didn't see the part about the breakfast being not included, and that was on me. The bill for $17.99 per person was a little steep for some cut up melon and a small chocolate mufffiin Should have gone to the all you can eat buffet across the parking lot. We did that the second day and enjoyed our full breakfast with made-to-order omelettes.
Also, the front desk arranged for a trash pickup/clean the next day which did not happen.
Won't be staying here again, but liked McAllen.
We'll be back to McAllen, for sure.

Hotel needs some updating, the building is older but the staff are extremely nice. The hotel shuttle is especially awesome…many hotels where I travel no longer provide that service and it was delightfully convenient.
