I very specifically booked and communicated to the hotel ahead of time that I needed a roll-in shower (power wheelchair user).
In spite of that, we arrived to a room (#224) with a distinctly NON-roll-in shower, and on top of that, its bathroom smelled like an open sewage drain, no exaggeration. My husband nearly threw up.
The hotel "made this right" by moving us to a room that had an actual roll-in shower and giving us ONE (1) free breakfast... Rather minimal recompense for such a crummy start to our anniversary trip, if you ask me.
Regarding the smell, one of the cleaning ladies explained vaguely to me it had something to do with being directly above the restaurant, hence my title of "Beware Room 224."
