Quiet, large room. Despite age of rooms not musty or stale smells. Nice bed and bathroom. Price reasonable and accommodating me nicely despite 1:00 AM arrival. Would gladly stay here again. National zoo and Red Line station two blocks. Handy to Red Line and Georgetown. Not far from National Cathedral.

Elegant experience
We love this hotel! I first stayed here in the 1950’s with my grandmother and it’s still my favorite location in DC! Especially at holiday time, the atmosphere is elegant. The staff is friendly and helpful and we love the restaurant, Robert’s.
