Great Stay.
The hotel was under construction. However, we found everyone friendly, and our room was very clean. Beds extremely comfortable. The breakfast was delicious.

A good experience.
Everyone was so nice and I was able to go to the hotal early and stay a little late to attend my son Graduate from the mariners. The Reception at the front desk was amazing. Thank you!

Beautiful and pet friendly hotel.
We traveled to Beaufort to attend a wedding on Dataw Island and we picked the Hampton Inn in Beaufort because it is a pet friendly hotel. The outside is beautiful with areas to walk our dog. The room was clean and the breakfast was a plus. The staff was very accommodating.

This was our second stay at this hotel in the past year. The first time, we assumed the issues were a temporary. This time around, same issues, but worse. Elevator was out of service for the duration of the stay (again). Hallways and stairways smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke (again). The smell of sewage was so overwhelming the last night of the stay we got up at 3am and left despite knowing we had a long day followed by a very long drive home ahead of us. The entire hotel feels damp and musty, sometimes overwhelmingly so. If there is not a lot of mold in this hotel I would be shocked, though I did not see any in our room.
The staff and their service was excellent during both of our stays but the building itself seems to be in a quickly worsening state of disrepair. The issues were not the fault of the staff - they were very friendly and polite. The location is fantastic. Wish they would overhaul the property or knock it down and rebuild.

Wi-Fi was terrible. Dropped out every few seconds, and was practically unusable
Staff lied to me when I called and told me I would be able to get a late checkout so my graduation Marine could change out of his uniform for the long drive home. Morning of, despite confirming over the phone, they changed their mind and refused. Staff was very rude when I tried to find an alternate solution, they simply did not care or make any attempt to work out something.
