Some things need improvement on property. For some reason the front main aitomatic door stopped working and we had to use a manually open side door. Water cups by water dispenser downstairs always empty. And bathroom curtain kept hanging low because the repair they did to keep the shower curtain up was hanging low due to improper fixing. So water would run out of the shower onto the floor. Breakfast was quick & easy. Thanks for the oatmeal. Could use more oatmeal toppings like seeds which they have at Hampton Teaneck.

Nice area, walkable. Small room but all you need. Was a little frustrated at no early check in we had scheduled but would stay again and staff was friendly.

We had a restful stay at the Hampton Chelsea. The staff were professional; our room was clean, and the location was very convenient. The breakfast was nice, however we noticed that a few guests appeared to be hoarding several of the food selections, which made it difficult for other guests who wanted breakfast. Although this was not the fault of the hotel, it was unpleasant to see.

We had a great time and I would consider this a five star experience if it hadn’t been for the elevator being put under maintenance as we were trying to check out. Kind of silly considering it was the end of a holiday weekend and many people were in the same predicament. It took us 30 minutes to get down to the lobby, and we would have just taken the stairs had it not been for our heavy luggage. Otherwise, the rooms were clean and it was a delightful place to stay.

Our room was 84°F (29 °C) when we arrived. We adjusted the thermostat to somethingn a bit more reasonable but when we returned at 2am, nothing had changed. Staff came up and did a manual reset but we ended up turning the heater off and opening up a window (winter in NYC) to make the room liveable. Breakfast was disappointing - poor selection, jockeying for a seat - that we went to a diner around the corner for a proper meal. We had booked the room because it included breakfast but spent extra money to get a decent meal. We could have used what we spent on breakfast to book a nicer, more expensive hotel down the street where we stayed before and the breakfast was generous and had seating for everyone. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful (as was the maintenance guy who looked at the heater) and the property is very well located.

Our stay at the Hampton inn in Chelsea was great! I have no complaints other than the heating/air didn’t seem to be connected to anything so we couldn’t adjust the temperature in our room. When we arrived, our fire alarm needed more batteries and the phone did not work, but the staff responded accordingly and were professional. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful throughout our stay. This was a great and safe area and within walking distance to a lot of places.

I liked that 6th and 5th avenue were right next to the hotel. There was a lot of dinning places around!
