Great location by the Christmas Market in Daily Center. 24 hour coffee and cocoa in lobby was nice.

Great hotel

This is a historic building for theater buffs. It is atop the CIBC theatre, originally the Majestic, opened in 1906. The offices were converted to hotel rooms in 2006 and have not been upgraded much since then. Still everything is comfortable and very clean. Excellent housekeeping and front desk staff. The breakfast (standard Hampton Inn) varies a little everyday and was well maintained. Coffee and tea in the lobby. In-room coffeemaker and fridge much appreciated. Superb mid-Loop location and--Praise Be!--no junk "resort fee." Thank you, Hampton Inn for a class act.

Problems with computers at check in. Front desk ladies did good despite the delays and some I upset guests.

The cleaning staff did an excellent job! Room was spacious! The door men were great. Breakfast was hot and a lot of variety. The location was awesome!!

I booked an accessible room through Expedia and my room was not fully accessible. It had a grab bar by the toilet and in the tub. I am a quadriplegic and need a shower to get into not a tub. I did not shower for the three days I was there! When I book an accessible room I assume it is fully accessible. The manager did nothing to help us out after our stay, it was like he didn’t care.

Terrible staff

The staff was great and it was clean and comfortable. They also make it easy to leave bags at the hotel on check-out day to pick up later. The breakfast was good (typical for Hampton Inns) but the area is small which made it hard on the very busy weekend we experienced. Worse was the fact that the elevators are slow and small -- problematic for a 21 story hotel. The property could definitely use a facelift, too. So considering all the options in downtown Chicago, I would have preferred to pay a little more for a nicer place. Again, the staff is great but know what you're getting.
