Had a 2 week business trip and my normal hotel was booked. This was a good alternative and was convenient to food on the area. Didn't use the pool and the staff was good about tending to my room. Having a full size refrigerator was a nice pairing with the microwave.

I was able to request a room on a certain floor, nice. The clerk updated me a bit about whether certain rooms were regular Motel 6 rooms, or Studio 6 rooms. The outward appearance of the place is a little run down. Room doors facing the afternoon sun are extremely faded and shabby looking. The Studio 6 room I was given was extremely small, especially for one labeled as a studio type room. Because of the small size it was extremely crowded with the extra amenities. The bench normally used for placing 1 or 2 overnight bags on was squeezed into a small corner in between the sink and the 2/3's size frig. It was difficult to access the bag once it was placed there, and what was worse is that there is a very small wardrobe hanger bar directly above it with small end caps, one of which is extremely hazardous. If you are either washing up at the sink, or getting things from your bag it is extremely easy to raise your head afterwards, and get an extremely painful wallop from the pointed 90 degree front corner of the inward end cap. I had blood oozing from the point on my scalp where I made contact with it. I was paranoid about using the sink or touching my bag after that, and more than a little p@ssed. Additionally, the lightlng choices for the room are rather poor. The main part of the room has only 1 overhead light, near the foot of the bed, and 2 small wall mounted lights on either side of the bed. The overhead one is rather useless and the 2 others are annoyingly bright.

We were given a corner room. It was spacious and clean. We were given fresh towels daily! Parking was great too. The only issue we had was that the pool was unavailable. Otherwise, we had a great stay.

Good deal for the price. No frills, but a nice place

It had a very decent size fridge, microwave, coffee, hair dryer, which we were happy to have. The photos of this place are deceiving. We had a king room and it was extremely small, but we made it work. What we didn't like was the cleanliness. Both nightstands had stuck on crud that needed to be scraped off with a razor, like sticky candy or ice cream that had been dried on and stuck there for a while. It was pretty disgusting.

Somewhat noisy at times

The listing said it had no elevator and a restaurant. It has an elevator and no restaurant, although it's near a Denny's. Extremely ordinary property and room. Posted room rate was $499, which is laughable. Very basic. Nice sheets, thin towels, no toiletries other than bar soap provided. I'd hate to have a room facing the freeway! Fortunately we did not. Plenty of parking.

Best motel in Escondido and San Marcos

Front staff was friendly. The cleanliness is okay - not really much to expect given the pricing.
