Pet Friendly Lodging Reviews

I made this reservation on Quality Inn's website while traveling with my family. There was no mention of the property being renovated. Upon arrival, the property appeared to be closed. There were large dumpsters out front. The frontage was torn up with large cement piles strewn about and heavy machinery sitting in the area. I called the reservation phone number where I booked to room and asked them about this situation. They connected me to the front desk where I was assured that the hotel was open. The front desk made an off handed comment about some renovations however they were accepting guests. I was traveling with two family members with health issues and on oxygen so staying at a hotel in the middle of renovations was not going to work for my family. I explained my situation and was told I would not be charged for the room. I am continuing to wait for the refund as they charged me for the room upon making the reservation. I will never trust Quality Inn for any future travel needs.

While I was not expecting a high end place with bells and whistles, I was expecting a clean place. Hallway in upper floor had a strong unpleasant odor, room was not very clean, (walls dirty with splashes of stuff that hadn't been wiped down, pill foil wrapper left on floor, sheets had stains and television did not work (no reception). Maybe for a lower price point and a cleaner room it would be acceptable.
